The following article presents limitations of HDFS Plugin.

• The HDFS Plugin requires snapshot support in the HDFS filesystem. If snapshots are not available, the plugin cannot perform its normal backup workflow.

• The creation time of a file cannot be backed up.

• Empty directories and directory attributes cannot be backed up.

• The current implementation of the plugin cannot back up ACLs and extended attributes.

• The restart command has limitations with plugins, as it initiates the Job from scratch rather than continuing it.
