The HDFS Plugin protects data stored in Hadoop Distributed File System environments.

The plugin is deployed on a Bacula File Daemon host and communicates with the target filesystem from there.

The plugin requires access to a snapshot-enabled HDFS namespace, this can be activated with a command similar to:

hdfs dfsadmin -allowSnapshot /my/directory

The implementation supports backup, restore, listing, and query operations.
