The following chapter describes the features of BSnapDiff for ZFS Plugin.
Backup without a full file system scan: The native zfs diff command is integrated into bsnapshot. The File Daemon uses its results to back up changes without scanning the entire file system.
Fast change detection: When few changes have occurred since the last backup, BSnapDiff can report differences very quickly, regardless of the total number of files in the file system.
Automatic activation: The plugin automatically enables BSnapDiff when it detects that it is backing up a ZFS file system.
Automatic snapshot creation: All backups automatically create and use ZFS snapshots.
Initial consistency checks: During the initial Full backup, additional checks ensure data consistency and guarantee that subsequent backups correctly detect all changes.
