Packages of the Libvirt Plugin are available for supported platforms. Access to the Libvirt Plugin can be requested through the Customer Portal. The Libvirt Plugin package can be installed on the Libvirt host server (hypervisor host) or on a remote host where the Bacula File Daemon is already installed.

Note

The Libvirt Plugin uses temporary files during guest VM backups. During a backup operation, multiple temporary files may be created. The amount of required disk space depends on guest disk activity. By default, this space is allocated under the Bacula working directory.
